The Office on Women's Health (OWH) and the Office on HIV/AIDS Policy (OHAP) through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch, intends to award a 4 month sole source Simplified Acquisition to the Hektoen Institute. The contractor will be responsible for conference management to include securing nd processing payment for the following: a) meeting logistics, including: meeting space rental, audiovisual equipment rental, and report preparation expenses; b) Travel expenses (including air and train transportation, shuttle/taxi services, per diem expenses, participant honoraria for representatives of PLWH and consultants; and c) Consultant fees (to include logistics planning, meeting preparation, performance of meeting coordination, follow up activities, and report writing). The Hektoen Institute is uniquely qualified to perform these tasks and has been successfully involved in previous conference management and planning services in a time-sensitive manner to conduct activities of the Trinational (U.S., Canada, and Mexico) Project on HIV affected families conference to be held in the summer of 1998, and this is an extension of previous conferences.
