Release of the IFB/RFO with specifications and drawings has been delayed. A revised release date for the IFB/RFO has been established as 18JUN98 with an anticipated offer closing date on or about 21JUL98. Additionally, because of the potential involvement of high value aircraft in the hangars of Building 4840, it has been determined that a mandatory site visit will be required. Details of the mandatory site visit will be set forth in the IFB/RFO. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Specifications and drawings will be available upon request. Companies and individuals who have previously submitted requests will be retained on the bidder's list and need not submit another request. All new requests should submitted to Jim Hillman at (805) 258-2904. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
