SSCContracts@nrlssc.navy.mil. The Naval Research Laboratory has
requirements for scientific, technical, and administrative efforts in
research, development, management, and engineering for support of
projects and programs related to space science and in synthetic scene
generation. The scope of this effort encompasses the management,
evaluation, procurement, system engineering, system integration,
programming, maintenance, training, and testing associated with all
resources supported by the Space Science Division Information Systems
Office in NRL. The engineering tasks will include both scientific and
administrative tasking, and shall require in-depth knowledge and
experience with system integration for microcomputers and minicomputers
for such as office automation systems, communication equipment,
operating systems, scientific software, business management software,
and software engineering for management information systems. Basic
deliverables will include: (1) cost and performance reports; (2)
technical reports; (3) software development/modifications/enhancements
along with associated documentation and source codes; (4) data sets;
and (5) final reports. The period of performance is estimated for five
(5) years. A cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-effort type contract is
contemplated. A SECRET facility clearance will be required. The
Government will not pay for any documents or information received as a
result of this notice or the associated solicitation package. NRL uses
Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. This
solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the
Internet approximately fifteen (15) days after publication of this
announcement at the URL address provided below, with closing date
approximately 30 days later. Paper copies of this RFP will not be
