F -- PRECOMMERICIAL THINNING AND SLASH TREATMENT SOL R6-20-98-22 DB DUE 061898 POC Contracting -- Tim (541) 883-6739 or Jeannette (541) 883-6804 The purpose of this solictation is to obtain services for Precommercial Tree Thinning and Slash Treatment on the Chemult Ranger District of the Winema National Forest, Klamath County, Oregon. There are three items with the following estimated totals: Item 1 -- 317 Acres, Item 2 -- 189 Acres, and Item 3 -- 218 Acres. Items 1 and 3 are natural stands that have been recently logged. Item 2 consists of lodgepole pine plantations. This will be an indefinite quantity contract. Estimated issue date is June 4, 1998 and estimated open date is June 18, 1998. Approximate start work date is June 29, 1998. It is highly recommended that all interested Contractors look at the units before submitting a quote. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, fuel, maintenance, labor, supervision, transportation, materials, tools, supplies (except those desingted as Government-furnished) and incidentals to perform the work specified.
