and materials to perform dockside and repairs for USCGC BAYBERRY (WLI
654), a 65' buoy tender, home moorage Seattle, Washington. All work
will b performed at cutter's home moorage during the period of
September 08, 1998 and completing September 25, 1998. Work items to
include: buoy deck repairs, underwater body inspection, diver,
engineroom QAWTH renewal, electric motor overhaul, electric meter
calibration, calibrate critical pressure, thermometer and tachometer
gauges, cargo hoisting gear overhaul and test, hawse pipe installation,
polymeric deck coverings replacement, repair and resealing,
enviornmental paint controls and temporary services. The Request for
Quotes is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit a quote which
will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage
Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority,
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program
(STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financining. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
