N -- PROVIDE AND INSTALL SOUND REINFORECEMENT AND ELECTRONIC COURTROOM SYSTEMS, US FEDERAL COURTHOUSE, KANSAS CITY, MO SOL OXHSFDX-98-024 DUE 080198 POC Denise Reavis, 202-273-1468 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials and expertise necessary to provide, install and test complete and fully operational sound reinforcement systems in fourteen(14)courtrooms and one (1) Jury Assembly Room, in the US Federal Courthouse in Kansas City, MO. The sound reinforcement systems includes voice reinforcement, bench conference, playback, simultaneous interpretation, assisted listening, recording, phone interface and control system. In addition, rooms four(4) of these courtrooms will also have integrated these two(2) components of electronic courtroom video technology installed. These will be supported by a control room, cameras, recording and a conference system. The work includes but is not limited to supply/fabrication/testing and adjustment of sound reinforcement equipment, preparation of operations and maintenance manuals, user training, warranty maintenance, and the repair and refinishing of all surfaces damaged during the installation of the system components and cabling. The contractor shall have calibrated test equipment of sufficient quality to permit repair and adjustment of system components to manufacture specifications. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest-price. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Bids will be solicited for the proposed contract on an unrestricted basis as to business size. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about July 1, 1998.
