Fabricate and deliver to two sites 2 trail bridges with pressure treated glulam girders, sills, backwalls, and handrailing. Construct and completely install one bridge at the Trocadero site. At the 20 Mile site place sills, backwall, girders, and bridging between girders. Stockpile remaining materials at the 20 Mile site as directed by the Engineer for installation by others. Other work is minor riprap/gabion placement (9 cubic yards riprap at 20 Mile site and 20 cubic yards riprap or gabions at Trocadero site. The bridge sites are located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska, along the Trocadero and 20 Mile trails. Access to Prince of Wales Island from Ketchikan, Alaska is by Alaska Marine Highway to Hollis, small plane or boat. The Trocadero trail leaves the Hydaburg road approximately 20 miles from Hollis and 20 miles from Klawock. The bridge site is at MP 0.51. The Trocadero trail is an reclaimed logging road, 10 ft. wide, rock surface. Motorized equipment is allowed on the trail, wheel base must be less than 60 inches. The 20 Mile trail leaves the Hollis/Klawock Highway approximately 10 miles from Hollis and 10 miles from Klawock. The bridge site is at MP 1.82. The road is driveable to the bridge site. Contract time is 90 calendar days. Estimate price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Simplified Acquisition Procedures apply to this project.
