All small business concerns capable of supplying subject equipment are encouraged to request and review the solicitation package. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, CA intends to solicit and negotiate a contract to acquire Plastic Media Blasting Equipment, Accessories, removal of existing and installation of new equipment. Minimum requirements include successfully modifying two walk-in blasting sytems: removal of existing blasting equipment, design, manufacture and on-site installation of two (2) "turnkey" Plastic Media Blasting (PMB) Systems utilizing the blast room enclosures in existence. The blasting system will be used for paint removal from various aircraft components and shall accomplish the blasting function while being in balance for flow, circulation and recovery. Documentation and training in operating and maintaining the equipment shall be provided and supplemented with operational and maintenance manuals tobecome the property of the Government. The successful Contractor is responsible for certifying and validating the PMB equipment's usage on an operational basis. MIL-Standards will be an inherent portion of the solicitation package.
