The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition for, 2-each MARS-II-L Platform P/N 637428-7000, 8-each PCM Board, P/N 636294-0001, 2-each, Tape Dubbing Kit, P/N 637607-7000 manufactured by Metrum-Datatape Inc., 605 E. Huntington Drive, Monrovia, CA 91017-7170. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies will Satisfy Agency requirements. The Proposed contract action is for recorders/reproducers and ground equipment in support of the airborne data acquisition system. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however, all responsible sources shall submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item. The Contracting Officer must receive this information within fifteen (11) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources shall submit information that clearly demonstrates their ability to provide these products.
