This procurment is for the manufacture, inspection, load, assembly, and delivery of the XM217E2 Cartridge Case and M28A2 Primer in support of Low Rate Initial Production for the use with the Cartridge, XM915/XM916 105MM, Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munition (DPICM). The contractor shall manufacture 4340 ea. XM217E2 Cartridge Cases and all components for the M28A2 Percussion Primer, and load the primer for the base year. There is an option year on this buy for an additional quantity of 4564 Cartridge Cases and an additional 4564 M28A2 Primers. The contractor is required to fabricate these components in accordance with Government drawings. There are First Article Test requirements. This solicitation should be available on or about 10 June 1998. Solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. Reference Note 26. (0141)
