Scott/Pkwrs/[937]257-4872 Operation and maintenance of the Air Force Material Command's Industrial Base Information Center (IBIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH has been SET ASIDE FOR 8(a) COMPANIES. The tasks consist of (a) providing human resources with the necessary training, skills and experience level to fully maintain and operate an up-to-date, efficient IBIC service; (b) performing program development and integration including turnkey support; (c) providing computer system and/or software development, maintenance, modification, interface, training and/or operation; (d) accomplishing new technological studies involving demand, supply, capacity, availability and/or vulnerability analysis; (e) performing scientific and engineering support of technical requirements involving establishment and expansion of defense industrial capacities; (f) performing studies and analysis in areas of manufacturing methods, product assurance, acquisition logistics management, and Air Force Depot Repair Base Logistics; and (g) performing other functions in support of the IBIC. The Sic Code for this effort is 8731 with a size of 1,000 people. This effort entails approximately 40 manhours. Based on market research, the Government is not using policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for this service. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial service within 15 days of this notice.
