Correction: This solicitation which was originally published in the CBD on or about 02 April 1998 is modified as follows: The issue date of the solicitation is changed to 15 June 1998 and the closing date of the solicitation is changed to 15 July 1998. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on 25 June 1998. The pre-proposal conference will commence at 1:00 p.m. at Building C-9, second floor, Conference Room #1, Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia. Prospective offerors are to proceed to the available parking on Morris Street and Bacon Avenue in the vicinity of Building C-9. Technical and administrative personnel will be available during the pre-proposal conference to discuss the requirements and answer questions that have previously been submitted in writing. Written questions must be mailed to the Commander, Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia 23511-2699, Attention: Ms. Maria Swift, Code 02121, or facsimile (757) 322-4142/4145 no later than 19 June 1998. Questions must specify the section and paragraph of the solicitation for which clarification is requested. A site visit will commence at approximately 3:00 p.m. The site visit will take approximately three (3) hours and will cover the Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia, the Naval Air Station, Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia and the Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, Norfolk, Virginia. Transportation will be provided for the site visit. Verbal questions will not be answered at anytime during the site visit. However, written questions may be submitted to Ms. Maria Swift at the end of the site visit or no later than 01 July 1998. The minutes of the pre-proposal conference/site visit will be provided to all contractors on the Bidder's Mailing List. This will include questions and answers provided during the pre-proposal conference, as well as, written questions and answers which were submitted during the site visit or by 01 July 1998.
