DSMCAA 15TH ANNUAL ACQUISITION SYMPOSIUM; JUNE 23-25 1998 The Defense Systems Management College Alumni Association (DSMCAA) will host its Fifteenth Annual Symposium at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, 23-25 June 1998. The theme of this year's event is "Developing the People Who Develop the Systems." Featured speakers will include Mr. Jon Etherton, Professional Staff Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee; Mr. Tom Crean, President of the Defense Acquisition University; Mr. Mike Miller, Director of the Federal Acquisition Institute; and Mr. Norm Augustine, former Chairman of Lockheed Martin Corporation. A panel on Program Office Education and Training Needs will include Department of Defense program managers and representatives of the Technical Management and Acquisition Functional Boards. Rear Admiral Frederick L. Lewis, USN (Ret), Executive Director of the National Training Systems Association, will talk about How Industry Trains Their Workforce, and a Service Acquisition Executives' Panel will discuss The Acquisition Workforce in the 21st Century. Also included is a full day of acquisition workshops. The Symposium will also include an Acquisition Expo. Registration fees include symposium presentations, workshops, continental breakfast and lunch all three days, and dinner on 24 June. Fees for registrations received prior to 29 May: Industry $265; Government $175. Registrations received after 29 May: Industry $295; Government $195. DSMCAA Members receive a $25 discount on the above fees.
