PUGET SOUND TRI-SERVICES SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE AT EXECUTIVE INN, FIFE, WA 3RD AND 4TH OF JUNE 1998 17. The Third Annual "Uncle Sam in CyberSpace" -- a Small Business and Electronic Commerce Conference is being do-sponsored by a Tri-Service group of Puget Sound procurement facilities. Co-sponsors are: The Army -- Ft Lewis, WA; Madigan Army Hospital; Army National Guard. The Air Force -- McChord AFB, WA. The Navy -- FISC Puget Sound, NUWC Keyport, WA and EFA NW, Poulsbo WA. And the ECRC Bremerton, WA. The conference will provide businesses and contractor with an opportunity to increase their knowledge of Government procurement Electronic Commerce (EC) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). There will be panels addressing government procurement at the various activities; Electronic Funds Transfer; Central Contractor Registration; and Industry Experts. This conference will provide the most up to date information for businesses of all sizes about what they must do to compete for Federal contracts. Both new and established firms will need to adjust their approach to remain eligible in the electronic age. Training seminars providing information for both Contractors and Suppliers on Electronic Bid Specifications (EBS) -- construction bids on CD-ROM, EDI and Internet as a Business toolset will be offered by the Bremerton ECRC. There will be keynote speakers from DOD and private industry discussing Small Business and Electronic Commerce Issues.
