Y -- DESIGN/BUILD FLIGHT SIMULATION TRAINING FACILITY (TACCSF), KIRTLAND AFB, NM SOL DACA47-98-R-0015 DUE 072798 POC Contract Specialist Theresa Armijo (505) 342-3458 (Site Code DACA47) Description of Work: The project consists of the design and construction of a facility for the Theater Air Command and Control Simulation Facility (TACCSF) at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. The building is a two-story, 80,730 SF (7,500 S.M.) facility which includes raised floor computer and communication rooms and a large test bed area. The facility includes Secure Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIF) rooms and an extensive electronic security and access control system. Building includes support office areas, lobby space, conference rooms, an auditorium, and electrical system including UPS system and generator backup for critical systems. Project includes preparation of a Comprehensive Interior Design for the facility. Project includes a bid option to furnish and install 110 workstations, consisting of movable, free-standing, desk systems with integral raceways for data networks, power distribution, and fiber optic data and communications. This project also includes a bid option to install audio-visual equipment in several briefing rooms, conference rooms, and the auditorium. Support utilities include water, electricity, gas, sanitary and storm sewer, communications ductbank and cable, including fiber optic cable. Technical proposals will be evaluated on Past Performance, Facility Design, Schedule, and Management Plan. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on 12 June 1998. The SIC Code is 1542. The magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition.
