The project consists of laboratory fit-up, relocation, and graphics services to support the occupancy of the Advanced Chemical Sciences Laboratory, a 18,512 gross square meter (200,000 gross square feet) laboratory building currently under construction on the NIST, Gaithersburg, MD site. Successful offeror shall provide all labor, materials (except Government furnished), equipment, and supervision required to complete the following tasks: (1) Perform laboratory fit-up necessary to tenant-specific laboratory needs. Fit-up consists of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related work, (2) Packing and crating of scientific, laboratory, and office equipment, (3) Physical relocation including moving, rigging, and equipment relocation. Relocation is from one existing building on site to the new facility that is also on site, (4) Miscellaneous specialty work, vendor coordination, and user group activities coordination, (5) Provision and installation of a complete building signage and graphics package, (6) Detailed logistical planning for relocation and specialty equipment installation, (7) Trade and professional management. Conformance in scheduling of this work with related Government contracts is required. This procurement is set-aside for small business (SIC Code 1542, Size Standard $17M). The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contract award will be made on the basis of best value to the Government with technical, past performance and price factors considered. Project completion is expected in May of 1999.
