SOL TACS1404800007 DUE 060598 POC Sharon Scrutchfield (816) 426-7267 ext. 231 The U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Domestic Operations, Washington, DC intends to issue a contract to Export-Link, Fairfax, Virginia for the Export-Link Package. The Package consists of software (Exporter's Toolkit), 12 months of access to Export-Link Online Resource Center and comprehensive users guide for 250 Commercial Service Domestic Trade Specialists. The Export-Link Package provides a single source for timely export information concerning international trade data, protocols, and information from resources including Dun & Bradstreet, Jones Day Reavis & Pogue, and updates the information via the world wide web. The Exporter's Toolkit is delivered via a CD-ROM, but is updated invisibly through the internet. The Exporter's Toolkit highlights other sources of information, such as the National Trade Data Bank, Stat-USA, etc.. The Export Regulatory Service is offered via the web by use of passwords and can be easily downloaded for fast and efficient analysis. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This is not a call for proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone numbers, business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified package of international trade tools and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided similar items. No response will be provided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to (816) 426-7530. This is not a request for proposals and there is no Request for Quotation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Export-Link. This package of export trade related information provided through on-line delivery systems and CD-ROM will be procured under the guidelines of FAR, Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. (0141)
