E -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR THE PURCHASE OF MODULAR LABORATORY FACILITIES DUE 063098 POC Kathy Fisher (513)648-4661 or Ellen Hansmann (513)648-3703 -- Fluor Daniel Fernald (FDF), Prime Contractor for the United States Department of Energy's (DOE's) Fernald Environmental Management Project (FEMP), Fernald, Hamilton/Butler County, Ohio, seeks QUALIFIED SOURCE(s) to provide the design and manufacturing of custom "modular" analytical laboratory facilities for environmental chemistry methodology, in support of environmental programs at the FEMP. Design details may include the following: Inorganic Lab, Organic Lab, Radio analytical Lab, Sample Prep Lab, Clean Room, Cold Storage Room, Offices, Gas Cylinder Storage / Central Distribution Center, Solvent and Acid Storage Area, and Waste Retention Space. Preliminary dimensions are a minimum of 40' in length, 10' in width. Facilities must have generator capabilities, external water and power source hookups, Fume Hoods (HEPA, standard and Perchloric), and safety showers. This announcement is not a request for proposal (RFP) or solicitation. The intent of this announcement is to find Qualified Sources whohave demonstrated the capability to manufacture this type of facility in accordance with FDF's requirements. In addition, the potential supplier must have rendered this type of service for other nuclear-type organizations and must demonstrate its engineering capabilities specific to analytical laboratory facilities.
