procurement is to be made in accordance with DFARS Subpart 235.70,
Research and Development Streamlined Contracting Procedures. Offerors
are advised that a conventional solicitation will NOT be issued but
that the solicitation will appear in a subsequent edition of the
Commerce Business Daily (CBD). The Defense Special Weapons Agency
(DSWA) maintains and operates nuclear weapons effects simulators for
the Services, DoD agencies, and other government agencies to ensure
system hardness against X-Ray nuclear weapons effects. The most recent
simulator being designed is the Decade-Quad (DQ) configuration which
is expected to be capable of delivering approximately 6 to 8 MA of
current in a 300 to 350 ns rise time to an imploding z-pinch load,
known as a plasma radiation source (PRS). The primary objective of this
effort is to demonstrate the multi-shell plasma radiation source on a
2-4 MA pulsed power driver. Performance will include evaluation of
multi-shell nozzle performance. Nozzle to be GFE. This procurement is
a 100 per cent Small Business set-aside. See numbered Note 1. Offerors

and/or amendments are issued to the solicitation which will appear in
