D -- PACKET SWITCHED DATA NETWORK (PSDN) SERVICES POC Tom Kloeckner, 618-229-9450 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue a 12-month sole-source extension to the PSDN Contract, DCA200-92-C-0015. The contractor is MCI Telecommunications Corp, 8200 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA 22102. The leased PSDN service supports data transmission requirements between asynchronous terminals in the CONUS and OCONUS locations including: Alaska, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Philippines, Japan, Hawaii, Panama, Italy, Guam, Netherlands, Germany, South Korea and Bahrain Island. Specifically, this lease will provide for world-wide PSDN services, necessary interfaces and direct connections to a Matrix Switch enabling access to a Public Data Network. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This contract action continues service to allow time for competitive reaward. See Numbered Note 22. (0146)
