McNeley, Contracting Officer, (520) 341-2663 The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material and equipment for the thermal desorption remediation and disposal of petroleum contaminatd soils at the Bio-Remediation Facility, Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma AZ. The petroleum contaminated soils (PCS) consists of approximately 700 tons of sandy soils with diesel, JP-5, and gasoline fuels as principle contaminants. There is potential for longer/branched chain aliphantics as well as aliphatic aromatics (BTEX) plus clayey soils. The Contract requirements is to remediate/dispose of approximately 700 tons of PCS. Remediation levels will meet Title 18, Chapter 7, Article 2, Soil Remediation Standards, as regulated thru the AZ Dept. of Env. Quality. All post analyses shall be performed at independent laboratories with Federal and State certifications and in conformance with 40CFR261, Appendix III, and EPA Manual SW-846. All costs associated with, and technical adequacy of, laboratory analyses be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor will provide loader and operator to place PCS in disposal vehicles, plus the attendant DOT approved disposal vehicles. This solicitation is Set-aside for Emerging Small Business.
