F -- INVENTORY OF FOREST RESOURCES SOL F40650-98-Q-0016 DUE 062598 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (931) 454-7841 This requirement is to provide a complete inventory of all Arnold AFB, forest resources. The inventory will provide information regfarding volumes per acre, volumes per forest stand, forest condition, forest health, forest quality, tree grouwth and age class distribution. The approximate forest acreage at Arnold AFB, is 26,000. The forest stands will be inventoried/cruised induvidually so that volumes can be calculated by acre or by stand. The minimum forest stand size to be inventoried is five acres. All inventory data collection will be performed by a professional forester. The forester may be assisted by a forest technician, trained in inventory procedures, provided the forester directly supervises the technician. The performance period will be proposed by each individual offeror and agreed upon through negotiations between the selected contractor and the Government. Any responsible source may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis should do so in writing and indicate whether they are a minority business concern. (0146)
