The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command plans to award a sole source purchase to Longbow Limited Liability Company, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Orlando, Florida and Northrop Grumman Corporation, Baltimore, Maryland, the only source with the knowledge and expertise necessary to satisfy the agency requirement. The proposed acquisition consists of a basic requirement for six (6) spares sets, each including the following: One (1) Launcher Electronic Assembly, Part Number 13425108, NSN: 1440-01-393-7447, Two (2) Upper Rail Wiring Harnesses, Part Number 13425147, NSN: 5995-01-419-2238 and Two (2) Lower Rail Wiring Harnesses, Part Number 13425163, NSN: 5995-01-419-2239. The basic requirement also includes a quantity of 20 each M299 Lower Rail Wiring Harnesses, Part Number 13425163. The proposed acquisition includes option requirements of spares sets to include range quantities as follows: FY98, U.S. Navy 1-8 sets, FY99, U.S. Army 1-8 sets, U.S. Navy 5-20 sets, FMS 1-8 sets and U.S. Army 8 each, Lower Rail Wiring Harnesses.
