SIC is 8742. The size standard is $5 million. The USEPA Water Supply
and Water Resources Division, National Risk Management Research
Laboratory is soliciting assistance in conducting series of field tests
at three different site locations to determine the potential
application of water storage and water aeration methods to oxidize
arsenic III to arsenic V. Under the scope of work, the contractor will
first produce a quality assurance project plan (QAPP) meeting EPA
requirements. Following QAPP approval, the contractor shall conduct
field studies at three different field locations approved by EPA to
develop information on the capability of water storage and water
aeration methods to convert naturally occurring arsenic III to arsenic
V in well water. At the completion of the tests, a report shall be
prepared documenting the test procedures and test results. Offerors
must demonstrate experience in the following areas: drinking water
treatment technology including knowledge of arsenic treatment processes
and arsenic III oxidation methods; drinking water treatment field
studies; the ability to obtain access to water utilities for conducting
the field studies; and analytical laboratory capability for analyzing
drinking water samples, including speciation techniques for arsenic III
