The system shall be certified DPS-2 in accordance with the requirements of ABS Guide for Thrusters and Dynamic Positioning Systems. The procured system shall command the direction, magnitude and duration of thrust (force) from all enabled effectors (main propulsion, twin screws, two bow tunnel thrusters, two stern tunnel thrusters, and twin rudders) to control the vessel's movements. Anticipate a firm fixed price contract. Issuance of the Solicitation will be approximately 22 June 1998.
