29 -- J52 ENGINE KITS SOL N00019-98-R-0028 DUE 063098 POC James Schirf, Contract Specialist (301) 757-8945 / John Ulmer, Contract Officer The Naval Air Systems Command proposes to procure retrofit kits to improve the J52 engine in accordance with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 95XA013 under Basic Ordering Agreement N000383-95-G-023M. Quantity will be approximately 28 kits. The PPC 305 (Chandler Evans kit P/N 113159) modification kits will provide a design improvement to the Pressure Ratio Control P/N 110220A3 used on the J52-P-408A engine. The only known manufacturer of the equipment is Chandler Evans Control Systems Division (CECO)of Coltec Industries, West Hartford, Connecticut. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Negotiations are anticipated to be done on a sole source basis with Coltec Industries.
