Provide fifty (50) fiberglass doors with the following required specifications: Face sheet shall be one continuous piece of fiberglass reinforced plastic manufactured using a corrosive resistant isophthalic polyester resin system with ADRC balance 157 stabilizing additives. The resin shall be reinforced with not less than 40% fiberglass weight. Face sheet shall be 0.110" in thickness. Door shall be gelcoated with custom color # 5420 to match facility color scheme. Gelcoat thickness shall be 15 mils, must have smooth, seamless finish. Doors must have core of end grain balsa impregnated with ADRC 1011 resins laminated to the interior face sheets. The balsa shall have a density of 8.5-9.0 lbs./cu.ft. And shall be 1 " thick. Compressive strength, perpendicular to the door panel surface shall be 1,400 psi. Please submit test results as proof. The Mortise shall be reinforced with a polyester-based resin filled with 1/4" chopped glass strands and aerosol. The door is to be prepared for a falcon mortise type lock. The Door panels will be constructed with the use of a full stile and rail. Stiles and rails shall be 1-1/2" square pultruded fiberglass reinforced plastic tubes. A polyester-based resin filled with 1/4" chopped glass strands and aerosols will be used for all reinforcements, corner blocks and structural support. The Door panels, hinge preps, mortise prep, vision frame prep, and louver prep shall be reinforced with pultruded fiberglass reinforced plastic tubes filled with polyester-based resin fill with 1/4" chopped glass strands. Doors to be supplied with 8" x a 15" fiberglass louver to top of door. Doors to be supplied with 9" x 31" vision with metal vision stops. Removable vision stop to be applied to the exterior of door. Glazing not to be included. Size: 27 3/4" x 73 1/4" tall, 1 3/4" thick. Tensile strength of screw holes to be 1,000 lbs. Submit test results as proof. Minimum certified cycle test of 1,000.000 cycles with no loss of screw retention. Submit test results as proof of compliance with ANSIA151.1. Door to be twist test loaded per ANSI A151.1 with 300 pounds of pressure. All bond lines, seams, joints and laminations must remain intact without any form of failure whatsoever. Door must return to its original unloaded position to within 0.79". RFQ available May 29, 1998 upon written request only. Anticipated award date is June 19, 1998. Deliver to the institution no later than July 14, 1998. All responsible sources may submit a written FOB destination price quotation, no later than June 18, 1998, to the above address and fax number.
