DUE 061198 POC Paula Faye Cosson, (850) 882-5169, Contract Specialist;
Lonnie L. Oswalt, Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test
Center (AFDTC) is contemplating awarding a Sole Source procurement to
Schilling Development Inc, 1632 Da Vinci Court, Davis, California
95616, for one Master Controller and one Resolver/Analog Card. These
are replacements items for use with an existing teleoperated robotic
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Manipulator System Model Titan II and is
manufactured by Schilling Development Inc. The Master Controller and
Analog Card must be compatible with existing electronics and hardware.
The Master Controller contains an integral LCD display screen,
function keys and master arm, which is a small kinematic replica of the
remote manipulator. The master arm has the following controls: Master
arm joints: The operator moves these joints to actuate movement of the
corresponding slave arm joints. Freeze button: Pressing the freeze
button freezes the slave arm in its current position. Wrist collar: The
operator rotates the wrist collar to rotate the slave arm wrist. Jaw
bands: The operator presses the forward jaw band to close the slave arm
jaws, and aft jaw band to open them. Additionally, the Master
Controller must accept four analog user inputs (+/- 5v range), and 18
discrete user inputs (0 to 5 VDC). The Master Controller is powered by
110 VAC. The Resolver/Analog Card is used to convert resolver input
signals to digital signals that can be processed by the slave CPU,
convert digital slave controller CPU signals into current that drives
the slave arm servo valves, performs processing for an on-board
velocity feed back loop, and also generates a dither signal that allows
servo valves to function smoothly. The Resolver/Analog Card is powered
by +/- 20 VDC. Required delivery is to be within 45 days after award
of contract. Technical questions may be directed to TSgt Todd Dulle,
(850) 882-1048. Contracting questions may be directed to Paula Faye
