The U.S. Army Research Office intends to issue Request for Proposal No. DAAG55-98-R-0007 for an Electronic Data Management System (EDMS). This solicitation is for acquisition of the installation and maintenance of a complete commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution for document imaging and data management (storage, archiving and retrieval). The contractor shall acquire the required hardware and software, assemble the hardware, load and configure the software, test the entire system prior to installation, and work with the information management support contractor to integrate the EDMS into the existing ARO Corporate Information System. The contractor shall perform power and integration checks, perform communication, scan, storage and retrieval of data tests; create index trees within the EDMS; provide EDMS training to the user; and provide telephonic and onsite support for six months following implementation. Place of performance is U.S. Army Research Office, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. A walk thru is scheduled for late June 1998.
