labor and materials to perform drydock & repairs of the USCGC POINT
DORAN, a 82' patrole boat, home moorage Everett, Washington. All work
shall be performed at the contractor's facility during the period of 28
September 1998 and completing 06 November 1998. Work items to include:
Ultrasonic hull thickness, underwater body inspection, longitudinal
frame renewal, life line stanchion renewal, main deck plating renewal,
pilot house plating renewal, QAWTH replacement, heat exchanger
cleaning and testing, electric motor overhaul, electric meter
calibration, fathometer transducer renewal, cleaning and calibration of
pressure, tachomometer and themometer gauges, seal valve overhaul, deck
drain installation, steering cable and hydraulic booster system
inspection and overhaul, anchor hawse pipe renewal, boat boom overhaul,
sewage tank cleaning and inspection, gray water and dewage drain piping
modifications, cabin an crew's shower renewal, forepeak tank
preservation, potable wter tank preservation, underwater body
preservation (100%), polymeric deck covering replacement, repair and
resealing, weather deck preservation, drydock/hauling. The solicitation
is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit a bid which
will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage
Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority,
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program
(STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide account receivable
