The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Metropolitan Detention Center, Los Angeles, CA (MDC-LA), intends to award a non-personal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing quality medical services of an obstetrician /gynecologist (OB/GYN) physician to inmates at MDC-LA. Services include but not limited to: evaluating, analyzing, diagnosing and recommending treatment of diseases specific to this specialty. The contractor must adhere to the Contract Security and Investigative Requirements of the BOP. Services are to be provided on a flexible scheduled appointment on weekdays, between the hours of 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There is an estimated requirement of 12 to 20 sessions per year. A session consists of 2 to 3 hours, charges to be prorated at an hourly rate. MDC-LA intends to award a base year contract no later than 10/1/98, with options to renew the contract for 4 consecutive years. Offerors are advised that the government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote is responsive to the terms and conditions of the RFQ and is the best value to the Government. The government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the contracting officer to be necessary. Request for Quotation will be issued on May 29, 1998 and offers are due to be submitted no later than July 10, 1998.
