This is a Notice of Intent from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD to issue an order, on an other than full and open competitive basis, to an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00104-93-G-A006, with Allied Signal, Inc., Allied Signal Aerospace, 1300 West Warner Road, P.O. Box 22200, Tempe, AZ 85285-2200 for GTCP 36-200 Series Auxiliary Power Unit improvement services. This requirement is for the purchase of services necessary to analyze the feasibility of reducing the reliability problems associated with contamination of the fluidic circuits used in the surge control valve and inlet guide vane actuator of the GTCP-36-200 series auxiliary power unit currently used in the F/A-18C/D/E/F, S-3 and C-2 aircraft. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22.
