Korenchen, 216-902-6218 Provide all labor, material, equipment,
transportation and supervision required to renovate the galley at U. S.
Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Major
items of work are as follows: Remove all existing galley equipment and
appliances, remove galley wall and ceiling panels, and remove existing
galley floor covering; Demolish existing Janitor's Closet and remove
all fixtures, appliances, flooring and any appurtenances attached to
wall; Remove existing flooring, cabinetry, equipment and appliances on
Mess Deck and demolish existing built-in cabinetry; Remove existing
Pantry refrigerator and replace with new; Install all new galley
equipment and appliances, install new galley and ceiling panels and
level floor and install new galley flooring; Create new Scullery area,
install new counter, flooring, and wall and ceiling panels and install
new mop sink and accessories; Install new flooring, carpet, cabinetry,
equipment and appliances on Mess Deck; Remove plumbing piping for
removed fixtures and appliances in or related to the Galley; Provide
plumbing piping for new fixtures and appliances in or related to
Galley; Work to include wastewater drainage, vent, cold water, hot
water, and gas; Provide grease trap and insulate new piping; Remove
existing carbon dioxide hood fire suppression system and provide a wet
chemical fire suppression system for the hood; Remove exhaust hood and
related exhaust fan, ductwork, and air intake, provide new exhaust hood
and related exhaust fan, ductwork and natural gas heated makeup air
unit; and, Remove all existing cover plates, boxes, and circuits from
the Galley, Janitor Closet, Hallway, and Mess Deck. Install new panel
with power and lighting circuits to all appliances, equipment,
receptacles, and fixtures. This procurement is estimated between $100K
and $250K and is open to large and small businesses under the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable SIC code
is 1542. Bid opening is on/or about 16 July 1998. Completion time is 91
DANTP. The bid opening date is approximate. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS.

non-refundable deposit of $25.00 is required in the form of a cashier's
check, certified check or money order made payable to the "U. S. Coast
Guard." Cash WILL NOT be accepted. All responsible sources may submit

Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned, and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligibile prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
