This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R9-02-98-15 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Chance Company, Centralia, MO as follows: GALVANIZED HELICAL STEEL PIERS -- Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A153, 1.5" Solid Steel Square Shaft, Allowable Torque Capacity: 5,500 ft.-lb., Helical Plate Material Specifications: Meeting ASTM A 607, A 570 and A 572, Grade 50, Fy = 50 ksi; Ft = 65 ksi, Allowable tension or compression (in pounds) 20,000. GALVANIZED HELICAL STEEL EXTENSIONS -- 1.5" Solid Steel Shaft, Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A153, Allowable Torque Capacity: 5,500 ft.-lb., Helical Plate Material Specifications: Meeting ASTM A715 Grade 80, Fy = 80 ksi, Ft = 90 ksi, Allowable tension or compression (in pounds) 20,000, 3/4" Connector Bolts Type: ASTM A 320 Grade L7; BEAM BRACKET -- 12" Long solid steel pipe to sleeve 1.5" solid steel helical piers above. Bracket shall have flanges capable of mounting minimum 3-1/2" support beam. FOUNDATION BRACKET -- Standard duty foundation bracket to sleeve 1.5" solid steel helical piers above.
