The US Army CECOM, Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) is soliciting proposals in the area of test range monitoring (day & night). Efforts will be at the 6.2 level of military research and development. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND DESCRIPTIONS: U. S. Army CECOM, NVESD is soliciting proposals for design, development, and demonstration of Test Range Monitoring (day & night). The basic requirements as defined at this time are: (1) view military (2.3M) and personnel (0.75M) targets from 500M to 5000KM. (2) Must operate in excellent to Visible and IR transmission conditions. (3) Operate in temperatures of 125 degrees F to -40 degrees F (May be in environmental housing). (4) Continuous or step zoom. (5) Capable of manual or remote control (all functions). (6) Video out to digital recording capability (directly or one generation removed). (7) Capable of sending/receiving through fibre-optic network. Note: the equipment sought may meet all the criteria, but should demonstrate a range of capabilities. Provide pricing information with the proposals, which the Government will utilize of planning purposes. The technical information provided shall remain valid for 120 to 150 days.
