65 -- HEARING AID REPAIRS AND PARTS/ACCESSORIES SOL 791-17-98 DUE 071398 POC Gail A. Hixon, Contracting Officer (303) 914-5182 The VA Denver Distribution Center intends to negotiate multiple award contracts to provide hearing aid repairs and parts/accessories. They will be indefinite quantities contracts for the period of August 1, 1998, through July 31, 1999, with a one year option. Repairs for the following types of hearing aids: In-the-Ear; Over-the-Ear; Eyeglass; and On-the-Body. Flat fee charges shall include parts and accessories required for repair to single hearing aid unit. Repairs shall be as necessary for proper opeation of the hearing aid, including where appplicable, replacement of defective receeivers and other defective components (other than batteries). Solicitation package will be issued o/a June 12, 1998. This procurement is open to large and small businesses. All requests for the solicitation package must be in writing, specifying company name, address, point of contact and telephone number. Fax requests can be sent to (303) 914-5159.
