66 -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR SPECTROMETER SOL 09-3K47-98 DUE 061998 POC Janice Speth, Contract Specialist, (301) 504-6071 This serves as a Sources Sought Notice and Market Survey to locate qualified sources for the procurement of a spectrometer with the following minimum requirement: 1) research grade scanning monochromator; 2) spectral range 400 to 2498 nm; 3) collects data at least every 2 nm at a bandwidth of 10 nm or better; 4) easily relocatable; 5) operates in the following modes: reflectance, transmittance, and using fiber optic cables; 6) can use the following sample accessories: a) rotating sample cup for powders, b) bulk sample holder for unground samples such as grain, c) cuvettes and liquid cell for liquid samples, and d) fiber optic bundles for solids, liquids and slurries; 7) temperature control cell for liquids; 8) includes sample cells for powders, liquids and unground solids as well as a fiber optic bundle assembly and interface for reflectance measurements; 9) include software for system and data collection and analysis; and 10) training. Any interested/qualified source who can provide the above requirement is invited to submit a statement of interest which should include literature, specifications, and other such information corresponding to the requirement which demonstrates the capabilities of the equipment. Contractors must identify business size (large or small). The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code for this acquisition is 3826 and the small business size standard is 500 employees or less.
