REQUEST FOR COMMENTS On behalf of the Office of Family Policy (OFP) the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is requesting contractors to review and comment on a draft Statement of Work. This requirement involves operating a Military Family Resource Center (MFRC) for the OFP. The MFRC acts as a clearinghouse for policy makers and those providing services to active duty service members and their families. The SOW covers a variety of tasks including (1) a resource center for the collection, storage, analysis, publication of reports and dissemination of policy-related informational materials via the Internet; (2) preparation and publication of reports, via the Internet, concerning issues, policy developments and events concerning military families; and (3) logistical coordination, publicity and information dissemination for 5 special events each year. Contractors interested in reviewing the SOW and providing comments/suggestions may submit their request to Tina Moll at the address shown above. Requests may also be sent in via fax at (703) 696-4871. Telephonic requests will not be honored. Comments/suggestions are due on 7 Jul 98. Contractors who provide any information concerning the draft SOW will not be disqualified from competing for this requirement.
