The Forest Service requires fill stabilization at three separate sites on the Ninemile Ranger District, Lolo National Forest, Mineral County, MT. Work includes construction of gabion retaining walls, minor excavation to increase road width and hand placement of riprap to stabilize stream channel, installing culverts, reshaping road and ditchline to provide adequate drainage, construction of rock buttress, excavation to full bench construction, placement of pit run aggregate, and special erosion control requirements. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquistion Procurement (SAP) rules. Quotes are due July 10, 1998. The estimated start work date is July 15, 1998. The performance period is approximately 90 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
