The 61st Air Base Group (61 ABG) and Space and Missile Center (SMC) intends to release a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) on or about 1 June 1998. This A-76 study will evaluate the cost effectiveness of conversion of the existing Government operation to a contracted out activity. This announcement augments previous announcement published on 13 January 1998. The draft PWS will be posted to http://www.laafb.af.mil/ SMC/PK/ PKHOME/ pkhome.htm) on or after 1 June 1998. The proposed acquisition is a 8(a) competitive set aside for performance of military family housing services. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 8744, size standard $5 million. An Industry Day, to discuss this requirement and receive feedback from Industry, is scheduled for 24 Jun 1998 at Fort MacArthur, 2400 Pacific Avenue, San Pedro, California. Interested Contractors are to submit written questions and suggestions regarding the PWS to Colleen Trickey prior to 20 Jun 1998. These questions and suggestions will be addressed during the Industry Day. Interested parties shall FAX or E-mail names and SSAN for each participant attending the Industry Day NLT 22 Jun 1998.
