No solicitation is available at this time. Firms having interest in
providing these services shall submit company's business size, a
capability statement, including most recent and relevant experience and
points of contact. The capability statement shall also address past
experience with the each systems and software listed below. Responses
are due not later than 17 Jun 98. If you have already responded to this
announcement there is no need to resubmit your information. Services
are as follows: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment,
tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary
to perform 89 Communications Squadron (CS) Software Maintenance
Element at Andrews Air Force Base (AFB), MD. The contractor shall
provide systems technical services and engineering support for
specified software. This support consists of, but is not necessarily
limited to, the following actions: system development/enhancement,
installation, and maintenance; response to user requests and trouble
calls; software engineering, technical solutions, system design,
programming support to analyze requirements; conduct systems testing;
and, develop, modify, and maintain systems documentation. The following
is the major systems descriptions: SITFAA. Electronic Mail System
provides HF radio electronic mail capabilities for the USAF
Chief-of-Staff to communicate with his/her counterparts from 18 North,
Central, and South American countries. This system runs on PCs
connected via modem and provides an electronic bulletin board function
where users can send and receive mail messages. SCBPS, Software
Applications: Software Applications maintains 25 personal
computer-based software systems in support of White House, Pentagon,
and Andrews AFB Special Air Missions (SAM) operations. The systems
provide automation tasks ranging from vital SAM planning and tracking
functions, to inter-base management and coordination functions, to
providing unique single-office/agency capabilities. These systems
operate from several different platforms; all are LAN based or can
operate in a network environment (Windows NT). A basic listing of the
different environments/programming languages follows: 7 = Win 95/MS
Access; 11 MS-DOS/Clipper; 1 = MS-DOS/Pascal, Paradox, and Object
Professional; 2 = Win 3.1/MS Access; and, 1 Pascal, The users of these
systems range from 80+ simultaneous users on down to a single-user
