Provide Description of project: Replace steam lines of approximately
2,000 linear feet with associated site work including trench covers and
connections into the various buildings supplied by the steam lines.
Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are encouraged to register
on the Internet to receive one CD-ROM. Registration on the Internet
should minimize possible errors and delay in receiving the CD-ROM.
Registration instructions are available on the Internet at

completed by faxing to 334-694-4343, Attn: Plans Room, CESAM.
Telephonic requests will not be accepted. In either case, those
registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the
mailing list. Registration must include the firms physical address,
telephone, fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be
completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of
changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only.
It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet
address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this
solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by
fax, 3.5" diskette or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be
issued on Compact Disc (CD-ROM) only and will be provided free of
charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed
paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to
paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best
interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required
for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall
be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents
will not be allowed. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is
required. For this job, a small business is defined as having average
annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years.
Effective 1 July 1998, firms interested in construction contracts with
the Mobile District, Corps of Engineers, must have "Internet Access"!
