Z -- REPLACE WAREHOUSE ROOF (BLDG 800), FORT RICHARDSON, ALASKA SOL DAPC49-98-B-0009 DUE 080798 POC Kristine Orr, Contract Specialist, or Shirley Lucas, Contracting Officer, (907) 384-7104 or via facsimile (907)384-7112 (Site Code DAPC49) The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and perform all work (including work of an incidental nature) detailed in the specifications and drawings to repair the roof on warehouse building 800, at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Due to the size of the roof and limited funding, the solicitation will reflect a basic bid item for 25% of the roof, with three (3) option items (25% each) for the remaining 75% of the roof. If funding is available at time of award, optional items may be exercised concurrently with award. The work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1) Demolition of existing roofing system, plywood sheathing, wood frame roofing supports, vapor barrier and insulation (existing roof felts contain asbestos); 2) removal and replacement of rotten T&G decking in the vicinity of the existing roof drains; and 3) Installation of a new roofing system in accordance with the contract drawings. The project requires completion by 30 September 2000. The proposed procurement herein is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (P.L. 100-656). The applicable SIC Code is 1761. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 (including base and optional items).
