This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Item 1 -- 150 each of Electrochemical Concentration Cell (ECC) Ozone Cells and Pump, including batteries, and interface connections designed to operate with The VIZ Manufaturing Co. MK2 Multiple Channel Radiosonde. Item 2 -- 1 Job The Manufacturer shall replace defective units and repair or refurbish ECC Instruments failing to meet specification I -- VII. Item 3 -- 20 each Anode/Cathode Concentration Cell. The ECC Pump will have the following characteristics: I. The ECC shall be a two cell, Iodide Redox type with Platinum electrodes. II. The sampling pump shall be constructed of teflon.III. The pump shall be capable of moving a volume of 200ML of air per minute. IV. The sampling pump efficiency shall remain at unity +/-2 Percent to a pressure of 70 HPA during simulated flights and shall not deviate more than 25% from unity at 5 HPA. V. The ECC Cells and sampling pump shall be contained within a styrofoam enclosure having walls a minimum of 5CM thick. VI. The sampling pump motor should not require more than 100 Microamperes of current after being operated for period of 10 minutes. VII. The sampling pump inlet and outlet ports shall be unencumbered of its mounting support so as to allow the teflon tubes sampling ambient air and the outlet port connecting the pump and sensor cells to be directly inserted without forcing a bend in either tube. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-104. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA is required within 60 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to the identified point of contact.
