for the following digital communication equipment. NO SOLICITATION

comments to be used in developing a specification for a future
requirement for a digital communication link suitable for use in small
tactical drones. The following is a list of desired characteristics:
(a) Two way RS232 data links (ground control station to drone and drone
to ground control station); (b) Data baud rate of at least 9600; (c)
One way real time or near real time video; (d) A quality received video
signal suitable for interpretation and retransmission; (e) Light weight
components for the drone, less than 5 lbs total required, less than 2
lbs desired; (f) Ability to be powered by 12 volts; (g) Encryption of

The Marine Corps may also be interested in learning about systems

aforementioned desired characteristics may be configured into a single
package or units may be proposed that are partial solutions. The
Marine Corps is interested in only what is available today or what
could be available within one year. The capability of interest is
likely to be experimented as a part of Urban Warrior, to be held during
the Spring of 1999. Interested companies may submit a data package
and/or provide a not to exceed 60 minute brief. As industry may expect
to see portions of its briefs included in future solicitations,
