This is a notification of intent of the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, to enter into a sole source personal services contract with a Macroeconomic Policy Advisor. The following information is provided to justify procuring this requirement on a sole source basis: The advisor is the co-developer of two forecasting models- a debt model and a gross domestic product model. The models have been successfully tested on economies in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. The advisor's services and the models will be used to assist other economies in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. An award to the Microeconomic Policy Advisor would result in substantial savings and avoid a potential delay to the Government. See Note 22. No telephonic inquiries or responses will be accepted.
