Mitchell, Purchasing Agent, 301/504-8484 or FAX 301/504-5009 DESC: This requirement is being procured using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13 as an RFQ. The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to non-competitively negotiate with Landis & Staefa, 11800 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville, MD 20705 for the maintenance of the Landis & Staefa System 600 installed in Buildings 001 and 010A. The following operations are monitored: fire, security, utility alarms, building system controls, laboratory/fume hood controls, and assorted research programs at BARC, Beltsville, MD. Provides software and hardware support, inspection, cleaning, repair, replacement parts and emergency response. Landis & Staefa is considered to be the one and only responsible source to satisfy this requirement because they have proprietary rights over the software, upgrades and controller devices currently at USDA. Period of performance: base period from July 20, 1998 to July 19, 1999 and 4 option years. The Standard Industrial Code will be 7382 with annual business size of 9.0 million.
