Design/Build a 4,330 sm facility to include full kitchen and laundry service for child care services of 464 children. The facility shall have a shingle roof (metal as betterment), brick exterior, suspended ceilings, carpet, tile, vinyl, CCTV, cabinets, sprinkler system, kitchen equipment, and playground equipment. Heating and electrical systems have not been designed. Playground fencing, parent and staff parking lots with exterior lighting are required. New water and sanitary distribution lines are required. Plans and specifications to be issued in the solicitation are considered by the Government to be 15% complete. Key elements of the design team will be architectural, kitchen designer, and playgound designer. Proposals received from this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria, listed in relative order of importance: 1A. Technical Proposal and 1B. Management (equal points), 2. Past experience, 3. Cost, 4. Quality Control, and 5. Subcontracting. Estimated value $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Solicitation is to be issued o/a July 8, 1998. There will be no Pre-Proposal Conference at the site. There will be no charge for this solicitation package and each request will be limited to one package only. Plans/Specifications are available on CD ROM only. Project specification files are in Portable Document Format (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Plans can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View. Both sets of software are available on the compact disk. System requirements are: 386 or 486 based personal computer (486 recommended). Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 4MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space and compact disk drive.
