This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DEA-98-R-0027; award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. The synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the FAR Circular 97-3. The standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 3663 and the small business size is $5.0 million. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is seeking to procure 0001) twelve (12) Orion CAN-Track 502D DF Systems. The provision at 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial items" is applicable to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, "Evaluation -- Commercial items" is applicable to this acquisition. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this RFQ to the responsible quoter submitting the lowest price. Quoters shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its written quotation. The provision FAR 52.212.4, "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-5, "Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items" (tailored) apply to this acquisition: (a)(1), (a)(2), (b)(9), and (b)(10).
