Etoch, Contract Specialist, (760) 939-9669 This is a modification to a combined synopsis/solicitation printed in the 13 April 98 edition of the Commerce Business Daily. The original synopsis was a two-part synopsis. The purpose of this modification is to extend the closing date for receipt of offers and to change the requirements of the diesel generator set. The closing date for receipt of proposals is extended to 8 June 98. Delete from Trailer weight specifications for the 25 KW units and 50 KW units the minimum weight capacity of 5,000 pounds and change the requirement to read: Weight capacity of trailer must exceed total wet weight of generator unit with enclosure and full tank of fuel by at least 15%. Offerors are requested to provide the total weight of the unit with and without the trailer and the total weight capacity of the trailer. a) Single axle for 25 KW units; b) Tandem axle for 50 KW unit.
